<p>Today after breakfast, depart for excursion trip to Chandanwari, Starting point of Amarnath Yatra & Betab valley, Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as major part of the movie was shot here.</p><p>Post lunch (on your own) or as time permits, proceed for trip to Aru Valley – Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel in Pahalgam.</p>
<p>Today after breakfast enjoy a picturesque drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts above sea level Gulmarg offers spectacular views of snowcapped mountain peaks, conifer forests and green meadows; it is home to the highest 18 hole golf course of the world. Thereafter time is free for activities on your own. Later enjoy Cable car/ Gondola ride on the snow covered slopes (upto Phase 1). Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.</p>
<p>After breakfast, proceed for Srinagar. On arrival check into your hotel. Later proceed for half day Srinagar sightseeing covering the ancient Shankaracharya temple, famous Mughal Gardens Nishat Bagh, Abode of Pleasure on the shore of the Dal lake, Shalimar Abode of Love built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.</p>
<p>After breakfast leave with full day excursion for Doodhpathri or “Valley of Milk”, situated 40 kms from Srinagar is definitely an unexplored place in Kashmir. The beautiful and enchanting place, the green meadows, pristine environment and serenity. A river cascading down the pebbles is a walk of 5 minutes from the parking. The place is quite secluded, you can rent a tent and set up a camping station. The best thing to enjoy here is the ride on horses to the bottom of snow covered mountains and trekking. In the evening head back to Srinagar. Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel. </p>

Yes, travelling to Kashmir is absolutely safe. However, don’t be shocked by the abundance of military checkpoints, tanks on the side of the road, military trucks and heavy armed soldiers roaming down the streets.
The best time to visit Kashmir is in the summer season, between the months of April and June.
The weather of Kashmir in winter blankets the region with a thick sheet of snow. This is between the months of December to February.

The internet ban has been lifted in Kashmir, but with certain terms and conditions. Internet services have resumed on postpaid mobiles across 12 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The ban on social media sites however remains intact.
Prohibition is not in force. However, except for The Grand Palace Intercontinental and Hotel Broadway, both of which have bars, few other hotels in Srinagar serve alcohol. Two liquor shops exist in the Sonwar district of Srinagar. No liquor is sold or served in either Gulmarg or Pahalgam.
