1) Is it safe to travel to Kashmir?

Yes, travelling to Kashmir is absolutely safe. However, don’t be shocked by the abundance of military checkpoints, tanks on the side of the road, military trucks and heavy armed soldiers roaming down the streets.

2) Which is the best time of the year to travel to Kashmir?

The best time to visit Kashmir is in the summer season, between the months of April and June.

3) When does it snow in Kashmir?

The weather of Kashmir in winter blankets the region with a thick sheet of snow. This is between the months of December to February.

4) What are the adventure sports or activities offered in Kashmir?

Travelling to some parts of Ladakh that lie close to the borders of China and Tibet do require a permit.

7) How many days are needed for a holiday to Kashmir?

Minimum 3-7 days. Ideally, at least a week would be recommended to explore Kashmir and its hidden gems.

8) Has the internet been restored in Kashmir?

The internet ban has been lifted in Kashmir, but with certain terms and conditions. Internet services have resumed on postpaid mobiles across 12 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The ban on social media sites however remains intact.

9) What are the laws related to liquor consumption in Kashmir?

Prohibition is not in force. However, except for The Grand Palace Intercontinental and Hotel Broadway, both of which have bars, few other hotels in Srinagar serve alcohol. Two liquor shops exist in the Sonwar district of Srinagar. No liquor is sold or served in either Gulmarg or Pahalgam.

10) What are the best shopping places in Kashmir?

Zaina Kadal Road, Lal Chowk, Badshah Chowk, Residency Road. You can even shop at the bazaar during your shikara ride.

11) When does the tulip festival in Kashmir take place?

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar hosts the tulip festival every year in the spring season – in April – when you can see an array of tulips in wondrous colours bloom to form an extremely photogenic landmark. Backed by the serene Dal Lake, the blossoming daffodils and hyacinths along with the iconic tulips draw in nature and photography lovers from all over the world to this gorgeous tulip garden in Srinagar.

We travelled to Malaysia 2D & 3N. Very well organized. Immediately after landing driver for pick up called which is very good. Further daily they updated where to go & before time coming in Hotel to pick up. Flexible in timing. Good direction for Indian food. We have decided our next Europe tour we will book through Touriso only.

Another trip completed with the touristo team. This was the 3rd trip with this team. Dhiraj and Poonam both were great people to converse with. Dhiraj was great during the initial phase of planning the trip i.e. suggesting places for stay, sighting seeing etc. All the service and arrangements were really very great. Poonam was great in collecting regular feedback and helping out during the trip with the sudden changes of flight timings. We had gone to Singapore for a family vacation(5 pax) from 7th to 12th Sept 2019.We had taken a complete package including airticket,visa, local sightseeing for 5 days with separate coach. Thankyou for the trip you planned. It was really amazing and totally comfortable for our parents. The drivers guided us well and they were friendly and humble. Meal arrangements were proper and delicious. Especially at Komalas, Archies and Ulu Ulu. Keeping in mind our request of having a seperate arrangements for vegetarial meal, they served us well.
